Wow, Ulleungdo is like a living painting.

This trip wasn’t just a simple getaway; it was a meaningful adventure

### Day 1: An Exciting Start from Pohang to Ulleungdo

Our departure point was Yeongilman Port in Pohang.

With 450 participants gathering in the early morning,

there was already a festival-like atmosphere

as we prepared to embark on our trip to Ulleungdo.

As we boarded the cruise, everyone was buzzing with excitement.

The closer we got to Ulleungdo, the more breathtaking the view

from the windows became. A diverse group of people,

from first-time hikers to outdoor enthusiasts,

shared stories and experiences about hiking—it made the time fly by.

Upon arriving on Ulleungdo, we took assigned buses

to the Manmulsang Observation Platform.

This was the starting point of our hike!

Our first trail was the famous Ulleung Haedam-gil,

where we walked about 10 kilometers to Hyunpo Branch School.

The trail featured Ulleungdo’s beautiful mix of ocean and rugged mountains,

and the views, especially around Taeha Samdosa and the Daepunggam

Glass Observatory, were simply breathtaking. Clear skies made it even better.

Safety was a top priority on this hike. We had a safety

briefing and first-aid instructions before setting off,

and professional mountain guides were stationed at each segment of the course.

Toward the end of the hike, there was a photo contest event set

against the backdrop of Gitdaebong Peak, which was a lot of fun!

Looking back at the photos later,

it was clear everyone was thrilled to capture the moment.

### Evening of Day 1: First Night at Hyunpo Branch School

After finishing the first hike, we headed to our lodging spot

at Hyunpo Branch School. The local dishes,

including pickled wild leek and pork belly(Korean-Style Bacon),

prepared by the residents, were unforgettable.

Using ingredients unique to Ulleungdo, the meal was perfect

after a day of hiking. The evening continued with a music performance

and events hosted by participating brands, creating an exciting atmosphere.

There was even a surprise guest who sang for us,

and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the time together.

Under a sky full of stars, we wrapped up our first night.

The stars were so bright against Ulleungdo’s dark sky.

Falling asleep nestled in nature, I found myself eagerly

looking forward to the next day’s hike.

### Day 2: Another Challenge in Nature

On the morning of the second day, I started the day by breathing

in the fresh Ulleungdo air. The ecological trail heading

toward Naribunji Basin was even more captivating,

showcasing diverse landscapes along this 10-kilometer course.

Passing through buckwheat fields and climbing flagpole peak,

the panoramic views were astonishing. The blend of Ulleungdo’s

green mountains and distant sea looked like something out of a postcard.

Walking along, I was able to fully appreciate Ulleungdo’s

fresh forest air and the sounds of nature at every moment.

Various brand events were held along the trail,

making the hike even more enjoyable.

There was an outdoor gear event where participants

could try out products from different brands

—a rare and rewarding experience.

We also had a chance to pick up trash along the way,

 emphasizing environmental conservation.

Experiencing life in nature reminded me of

the importance of cherishing and protecting it.

###Evening of Day 2: Wrapping Up the Day at Naribunji Basin

After the hike, we arrived at Naribunji Basin,

where a local restaurant served us wild vegetable bibimbap for dinner.

Naribunji Basin was also a fantastic camping spot,

and the evening was filled with more performances

and events, amplifying the outdoor fun.

Despite the long days, everyone was filled with

laughter and energy.  With the last day approaching,

I felt a tinge of sadness at how quickly

the journey was coming to an end.

###Day 3: Wrapping Up the Journey

On the third day, we departed Naribunji Basin and

headed to Sadong Port with a sense of nostalgia.

On the way back, I realized how much

I wanted to share this incredible experience with others.

Ulleungdo is not just a beautiful travel destination;

it’s a special place where people and nature coexist in harmony.
